The hype for Barbie may be over, but we at Creative Style Furniture believe that pink is forever (we are prone to wearing it on Wednesdays). Though we’ve already spoken at length about utilizing pink in every aspect of your furniture design, today we’re going to pivot. Now it’s all about the jewel tones.
Is magenta really pink or does it fall under the purple umbrella? Great question! It’s both. But if we had to choose, you know our answer would be pink. Magenta is a rich jewel tone that is reminiscent of both fruit punch and luxury (talk about versatile)!
This incredibly diverse room you see before you was designed by the very talented Creative Tonic (and features upholstered pieces by yours truly). Nearly every aspect of this project was made custom for the space (and if you have the budget, why not)? As with nearly all jewel tones, it pairs nicely with metal (and marble to boot).
Rich emeralds aren’t usually the first choice for a commercial space, but they should be! For the Marlowe Condominiums, interior designer Nina Magon opted to use a soft green velvet for the custom wall panel and banquette (and we were happy to make them). This color choice is both dark and neutral, yet also different. It adds a little something extra to an otherwise ordinary space.
There’s blue, and then there’s sapphire blue. The vibrancy is palpable and it’s a wonder why they didn’t paint the ceiling in the same finish! As with the magenta bar shown above, this exceptional dining room uses brass hardware to accentuate the jewel tones.
Onyx is a jewel tone, and you can’t tell us otherwise. For our last lineup, we have another custom piece made for the talented Nina Magon! Gold accents are popular for a reason (looking at the above, it’s clear why). These hand made panels would probably look silly in any other shade, but in black they’re stunning.
We hope you enjoyed this (bite sized) blog as much as we enjoyed writing it! Need your own jewel toned pieces made custom? Send an email directly to design@creativestylefurniture.com and we’ll be happy to turn your design into a masterpiece. Until next time!
