1. Swap Out Winter Bedding
One of the quickest and easiest ways to transition your home from winter to spring is by swapping out heavier bedding with lighter linens. Tuck away thicker throws that make your bed too hot with warmer weather and instead opt for breathable linen or sateen sheets and a thinner duvet. Spring florals and gingham are always in style for bedding so don’t be afraid to play with mixing patterns.
2. Wash Off Your Outdoor Furniture
We’ve been having some absolutely gorgeous weather here in Texas lately (hello 66 degrees and sunny) and with beautiful weather comes time spent outdoors! Give your outdoor cushions a good wash according to the label care instructions so you’re ready to relax outside or entertain guests in the backyard.
3. Change Up The Decor
Spring welcomes new life and inspires new beginnings, so take that some of that inspiration and apply it to your home decor! Changing up your curtains to something more sheer, swapping out your thick and cozy throw pillows for light and breezy ones, or perhaps if you’re feeling ambitious, finally repainting that project chair you’ve been hanging onto in your garage. Of course, if you’re not one for DIY’s you could always leave that to the professionals, AKA us! Click Here to get started!
4. Decorate With Fresh Florals
Do we even need to say that spring time beacons us to fill our surroundings with fresh flowers? We almost feel silly writing this but if you aren’t someone who normally keeps fresh flowers in your home this might spark some inspiration! Flowers can be expensive but Trader Joe’s offers beautiful bouquets at affordable prices. If you’re not near a Trader Joe’s or want something more permanent than fresh flowers, fake ones have come a long way and look convincingly real!
5. Tune Up Your Spring Playlist
Ok this last one has nothing to do with preparing your home for spring but after a long and dreary winter an upbeat playlist is a must! It’ll help you get in the mood to spring clean your house, garage and/or attic, can set the tone for hosting backyard get-togethers and can be blasted in your car while you take a road trip to Round Top to shop for antique deals!
